Here are some frequently asked questions. Please read these before you contact me!
Hikaru Hoshi in Kanji/Hiragana is 光る星, although it kind of doesn't make sense since that "hikaru" is a verb meaning "to shine". I was going for the adjective form, (needing a な (na) ending) to meaning shinning star. Close enough though, right? At the time I picked it, I really knew no Japanese.
Here's a new one: actually in most cases, yes. Josh is looking for some people with ideas for sites, or those that have some and need help with the design and.or coding. He is slowly building up his professional portfolio and may be willing to do comissions for free. Just contact him at jjackson@je-de.net.
So at Hikaru Hoshi, we love music. We have two big sections of it on the site. First are the band profiles. Basically this is the basic bio's and most recent albums/EPs released of a group/artist. We also give you associated links, photos, a music playlist, and then the related music videos. The second section, which as you can tell is already slightly integrated with the first, are all the music videos. They are a bunch of videos from all sorts of genres. All in all though, we new allow downloading or sponsor illegal/copyright infractions. We've already paid for these in one way or another, and are simply relaying what you would be able to find online through a basic search.. except ours is in a prettier format^ The music videos require a browswer that can handle HTML 5.0 video codes, and/or a flash-based video player. Also, a fast internet connection is ideal since a lot of our videos are high-quality or high-definition.
Going with our philosophy since first starting Hikaru Hoshi in 2005, Josh has choosen to not put any ads on the site. If you ever see them, either you have a virus/spyware/ad-ware on your computer, or the staff admin have gone bonkers./
